The 17th Warrington East (3rd Lymm) scout troup is ran by Simon Geddes.

We meet on a Monday evening from 7pm - 9pm, with our meeting starting at 7.10pm and as leaders we have two main aims within the 3rd Lymm scout group, which are for Scouts to have fun but at the same time learn new skills, that will help the scouts in later life.

Although a new and young leadership team we feel we need to run a balanced program throughout the year, covering a wide range of scouting skills. Our Ethos is very much putting the 'OUT' in Scouting, this has been proven already whether that be our first winter camp where we climbed, high rope'd and did archery to name but a few, or during our Monday night programs where we feel very strongly about teaching skills required in a real world environment. and getting out of the hut as much as possible. We also believe in helping and getting out in the community as much as possible and as we move into 2012 we are sure this will be emphasised more.

Lots of children come into scouts to do activites they wouldnt normally do, be it watersports and adventurous activities or learn new life skills. We are very lucky to have a strong leadership team.

Simon has recently become a new assistant scout leader after coming all the way through from Beavers, cub, scouts and younger leadership, With him he brings a lot of experience from being with the 3rd Lymm scout troup all this time and being local to the Lymm area all this time.
