UPDATE 4th April
Yesterday, Thursday 3rd April I had a meeting with Sean Kerfoot, Chairman, May Queen Committee.
The meeting was sponsored by Mr Ian Crowe of Warrington Borough Council.
The objective was to understand issues on both sides and to see if an accommodation for this year and in the future could be reached so that the May Queen event could go ahead.
While some minor details are still to be resolved I believe that we have reached a position that the event can and will go ahead.
I can also confirm that 3rd LYMM will again be offering high quality refreshments on the day and on the field so come along and enjoy a rest and a bite.
My thanks to both Ian and Sean for their effort, energy and understanding in reaching this resolution; I believe that we have established a communication path that will stand us in good stead now and in the future.
